Knox Presbyterian Church presents Phil Keaggy in concert as part of our Summer Nights at Knox series.
About the artist. Phil Keaggy is perhaps one of the most admired guitarists in music today. His fans range from those who aspire just to be able to play Keaggy's mistakes, to professional musicians who have been strongly influenced by his style. And in between are those who don't play guitar, yet find solace in his beautifully penned lyrics and memorable melodies.
Phil's solo career has spanned more than 35 years, and has included over 50 solo albums, both vocal and instrumental, as well as 8 releases with his band, Glass Harp. One of the most sought after studio guitarists, Phil continues to sell out concerts all over the US and several countries, with his ever-changing style, ranging from rock-and-roll to fully orchestrated instrumental compositions.
Recently, Keaggy was voted Gold Level Award Players Choice winner by Acoustic Guitar Magazine readers as Best Spiritual/Worship Guitarist
2008. In 2007, he was named by Rolling Stone as one of The Twenty-Five Most Underrated Guitarists. Also in '07, Digital Dream Door.com ranked 3 of Keaggy's albums in the top 100 Greatest Acoustic Guitar Albums (#3,37,68).
Phil Keaggy is a Grammy nominated, and multiple Dove Award winning artist, with a humility and skill for his craft that is unparalleled. Email a friend
